1. A Message About My Promise, Vision and Mission
As mentioned on my Web site, www.alivewithclive.tv, I have a promise for the world and it is that:
By 2030, every person on the planet is lit up, fully self-expressed and living passionately, creating an upward spiral of brilliance and joy beyond belief!
As many of you already know, one of the steps I am taking to fulfill this promise is to create a compilation CD consisting of a song from every musician who is in the Alive with Clive Top 20 at the end of the last day for voting for musicians eligible for inclusion in the Alive with Clive Top 20. My goal is to sell at least 50 million CDs (or a downloadable version) at $20 each, and to raise at least a billion dollars for people suffering from AIDS in South Africa.
Over the past few decades, we have seen that musicians have had a prodigious impact in the world. In 1986, for example, the Live Aid concert raised almost $284 million for famine relief in Ethiopia. Bono of the rock group U2 continues to play a crucial role in alleviating suffering in the world. And two days ago, there was an article on the internet about the pivotal role played by Bruce Springsteen at a concert in East Germany in 1988 in helping to bring down the Berlin Wall.
It's clear, then, that musicians have immense power to make a huge contribution to the world, and it is my intention to tap into their immense power to help alleviate suffering experienced by millions of people with AIDS in South Africa.
When suffering is alleviated, the people who are suffering are then able to become productive contributors in their country, and are able to earn income and buy goods and services produced by manufacturers and made available by service providers. As a result, economies prosper and everyone benefits, creating an upward spiral of brilliance and joy in the world.
While the Alive with Clive Top 20 Contest to see who ends up in the Alive with Clive Top 20 might seem like just another popularity contest, it is actually a carefully-orchestrated endeavor to see which musicians are most determined to (1) have their music enjoyed by as many people as possible and (2) derive the fulfillment of knowing that they were part of a global synergistic effort to enhance the quality of life for everyone on the planet.
Every Alive with Clive TV Show MagEzine I distribute, therefore, must please be read with this "big picture" context in mind.
And over the coming weeks and months, I'll appreciate all the support I receive from you in helping me to fulfill my promise for the world.
2. This Week's Featured Personality: Ariel Hyatt -- Founder of Ariel Publicity and Cyber PR
I had the good fortune earlier this week to attend the Third Digital Press Conference for Social Media, Bloggers, Podcasters and DJ's organized by Ariel Hyatt, founder of Ariel Publicity and Cyber PR. Ariel is the undisputed Queen of helping independent musicians to obtain publicity on the internet. The event was sponsored by Lou Plaia of Reverb Nation, John Warden of Rive Video and Jason Spiewak of Rock Ridge Music.
Over the past couple of years I have attended boot camps organized and taught by Ariel and other experts, and owe much of my knowledge about social media and obtaining publicity for musicians to the lessons I have learned from her.
And at the Digital Press Conference I attended this past Tuesday, while musicians were being interviewed by DJ's and podcasters, I met or learned about at least thirty more exceptionally gifted and talented musicians, many of whom will be appearing on Alive with Clive and becoming eligible for the Alive with Clive Top 20 in the weeks ahead.
Coincidentally, the book Ariel has written, called Music Success In Nine Weeks -- A Step-By-Step Guide to Supercharging Your PR, Building your Fanbase & Earning More Money, which was initially released as an Ebook, has just become available in print.
When I read Ariel's book, I identified at least 54 golden nuggets of information that can help you to boost the results you are getting from your efforts to promote yourself quickly and exponentially, even if you aren't a musician, so I highly recommend that you read her book as soon as you can.
