1. Why Today Is Extra Special!
At first glance, you think it's simply similar to 010101, 020202, 030303 or any of the other rare days that are designated by a similar repetitive pattern of numbers. But I received an email earlier this week from a friend of mine, Heather Vaughn, who made me realize why today, 080808, is extra special. Heather is a gifted intuitive healer with a mission to bring the human spirit to a new level of consciousness and to empower people to fulfill on their highest potential. This is what Heather said in her email:
Friday, August 8th, 2008, is the most powerful day to manifest your desires. 888 is triple infinity and the energy that surrounds it is the most powerful time to create things this year. 2. New Contenders in The Alive with Clive Top 20
This past Friday, I had the pleasure of interviewing two outstanding emerging musicians: Byron Zanos and Alex P. Taylor. Byron sang two songs from his CD, Still In A Fight, the title track and a song called Bye Bye Baby. Accompanied by his talented guitarist, Tim Mikkola, Alex performed two songs, Window, and Promise, from the new CD he is busy recording, which is due out in the Fall.
Now that they have appeared on Alive with Clive, they are new contenders for a spot in The Alive with Clive Top 20, and as you'll see in Item # 4 below, one of them has already made a BIG move up The Chart.
3. The Alive with Clive Top 20 Voting Page Rearranged
If you've been voting for your favorite musician or band for a while and also within the last day, you will have noticed that The Alive with Clive Top 20 Voting Page has been rearranged. The first section now consists of the names of musicians who currently occupy the first ten slots in The Alive with Clive Top 20. The names of musicians who have not received any votes are now on the last and second-last lists of ten.
In other words, the names are now arranged to more closely resemble the order in which they appear in The Alive with Clive Top 20. Those who are least likely to make it into The Alive with Clive Top 20, because they haven't been receiving votes or they don't yet have at least one song posted on their My Space page, are at the bottom of the list.
4. This Week's BIG Mover
Energized and invigorated by his appearance on Alive with Clive this past Friday, Alex P. Taylor sprung into action to generate votes for himself in a hurry this week, and from a standing start of zero has already obtained 27 votes to put him at # 8 on The Alive with Clive Top 20 Chart -- making him easily the BIG mover of the week.
Alex sings this brilliant thought-provoking song called Window, which I believe is destined to become one of those classic songs that will be played for generations to come. To listen to Window and help Alex to get it on the radio, visit his My Space page (see the link in Item # 10 below).

6. Alive with Clive Begins The Transition From Being Local To Going Global!!!
It was taking so long it seemed it was never going to happen. It involved many false starts, much trial and error, and a steep learning curve.
Then, the final piece to the puzzle was found and now a major breakthrough has been achieved.
Alive with Clive is Going GLOBAL!!!
Until now, while there have been a few clips of shows from Alive with Clive on YouTube, in general if you wanted to see any of the Alive with Clive shows, you had to be in White Plains (or in some of the surrounding areas) at 8.30 p.m. on a Monday night or at 7 p.m. on a Wednesday night.
At this stage, you still won't be able to see any of the shows in their entirety on the internet and when some of the shows are placed on the internet, they'll be split into parts, but the transition from being local to going global has begun!
I am thrilled, delighted and excited to announce that I have several videos from Alive with Clive loaded onto a portable hard drive, and have now figured out the multitude of steps necessary to post videos on YouTube.
Within the next few months, I'll be posting additional segments from Alive with Clive on my Web site or a Web site linked to it. For now, within the next few weeks, I'll be posting videos of songs performed by musicians in The Alive with Clive Top 5 on YouTube.
When I first announced The Alive with Clive Top 20, Joséphine Ancelle, a young, vivacious and refreshing singer/songwriter from France who now lives in Manhattan, generated lots of votes and held the # 2 spot in The Alive with Clive Top 20 for several weeks. At that time, there already was and still is a video on YouTube available of Anthony Melillo and his brothers, Joe and Nick, singing Anthony's song, That's My Son, which was posted by Anthony, who has been # 1 in the Alive with Clive Top 20 since its inception. So, when I began the process of figuring out how to post a video on YouTube, I chose to work with the video showing a song performed by Joséphine.
