1.  Clive's Favorite Quote For The Week

I chose to begin today's Alive with Clive TV Show MagEzine with my Favorite Quote for the Week because Alive with Clive is "The TV Show That Inspires You To Multiply Your Magnificence!" and I believe you can never have too much inspiration!  

A friend of mine sent me the quote you're about to read, and I like it so much I've taped it to the wall in front of me when I sit at my desk and read it several times a day.  Whenever I am faced with uncertainty or doubt about the future, this short, succinct and special quote reminds me that it's up to me to create the outcome I am seeking.  So here it is:

Musicians in The Alive with Clive Top 20 and particularly in The Alive with Clive Top 5 can look forward to more press releases from me in the future to help them become even more famous and draw attention to my quest to raise at least a billion dollars for people suffering from AIDS in South Africa -- through the process I like to call synergistic philanthrocapitalism^TM -- by selling, for $20 each, at least 50 million copies of the compilation CD (or a downloadable version) I am creating with songs from musicians in The Alive with Clive Top 20.

3.  What's Happening in The Alive with Clive Top 20

At this stage, after several weeks of voting, The Alive with Clive Top 20 has divided itself into two parts, which are roughly equal.  The first part consists of musicians in The Alive with Clive Top 10.  Their fans are voting for them regularly and there is keen competition among them to improve their position on the Chart.  The second part consists of musicians who hold positions 11 through 20, for whom voting is sporadic and occasional.  For the most part, only a vote or two separates musicians in this half of the Chart.

Now is therefore an excellent time for the musicians in the second half of the Chart, and also on the outside looking in, to create and implement a daily plan of action to garner votes on a regular and consistent basis to ensure a slot in The Alive with Clive Top 20.

After all, the benefits of being in The Alive with Clive Top 20 far outweigh the minor efforts necessary to get the votes to be in it.

The big mover up the Chart over the past couple of weeks continues to be Irena Makarchuk from Bermuda Road, who has breezed past Cassandra Kubinski and Jeneen Terrana with a sensational flurry of vote-getting to claim third spot, behind Anthony Melillo and John Taglieri.  Congratulations again, Irena!

4.  Remember Irena's Benefit Concert on September 21, 2008

As a reminder, Irena Makarchuk and her band, Bermuda Road, will be performing at the Highline Ballroom on 16th Street between 9th and 10th Avenues in Manhattan on Sunday, September 21, 2008, at 7 p.m. at the second annual "Artists Who Care" benefit concert she is organizing for Harmony4Kidz.

Tickets are available for $25.00 online and $28.00 at the door.  During the evening, auditions will also be held for the Harmony4Kidz reality TV show.  People will also have a chance to submit their artwork, poetry, and music to be considered for publication in the Harmony4Kidz upcoming book and Mix CD. Submissions for any Harmony4Kidz projects will only be accepted at the event.
