The future for musicians who have appeared on Alive with Clive (and other guests too) just got a whole lot more promising and exciting!
After months of trial and error, interruptions, delays and setbacks, I'm delighted to announce that I have finally figured out, with the equipment and software I now have, the magic secret formula -- the specialized seven-step process -- necessary to convert 1.2 gigabyte MPEG 4 files I receive from the TV studio on my portable hard drive into files that are accepted on YouTube -- without a hitch every time!
To celebrate the breakthrough, I have just launched The Alive with Clive TV Channel on YouTube!
At the moment, there are just three clips of songs performed by musicians who have been on Alive with Clive and are currently in The Alive with Clive Top 20.

Now that I have finally cracked the code, so to speak, for putting videos on YouTube, lots more clips from Alive with Clive will be posted on The Alive with Clive TV Channel on YouTube in the weeks ahead.
Now the big question is: Whose video will be posted next?
If you're thinking that I ought to give preference and precedence to those musicians who have been obtaining the most votes lately, I am in alignment with your thoughts!
So, if you're a musician who has been on Alive with Clive, and don't feel like spending time jumping through hoops to figure out how to post a video on YouTube or paying someone a few hundred dollars for the privilege of doing it for you, simply encourage your fans to vote for you once a day every day and urge their friends to vote for you too!
And if you're a fan, spread the word about the musician you're supporting so that his or her clip can be one of the first to be posted next.
Remember, you know at least 100 people and everyone you know knows at least 100 people who know at least 100 people. When you do the math, pretty soon you realize you can begin to reach a few million people in a short amount of time -- particularly in this age of Web 2.0 in which word travels at the speed of light.
Remember, two, that you're not asking people to give you their first born or seaside property in the Hamptons. Only a few seconds a day to cast a vote. So let's see the votes come pouring in.

Lately, while driving in my car, taking showers, eating salads for lunch and at other odd times, I've been thinking up all kinds of attention-grabbing and thought-provoking headlines for press releases for musicians who have been on Alive with Clive. And I am just itching to write the press releases to accompany the headlines and release them as soon as possible.
Needless to say, I'll be releasing press releases first for musicians who are generating the most votes too.
Remember, four, that a video on YouTube can turn a musician from an unknown who has been toiling at their craft for years, and possibly even decades, into an overnight success!
So, suddenly, the future for musicians who have been on Alive with Clive and who are getting lots of votes just got a whole lot brighter than it ever was before!

3. What's Happening in The Alive with Clive Top 20
The big story this week in The Alive with Clive Top 20 is that Joe Venice has moved up four places on the Chart from seventh to third by continuing to blaze a scorching trail of vote-getting, increasing the total votes he has received since The Alive with Clive Top 20 Chart was published as of 5 p.m. last Thursday, November 13, from 144 votes to 344 votes -- by a whopping 200 votes. That's 139 more votes than Anthony Melillo, who has been # 1 on the Chart since it's inception, and 129 more than Anthony's nearest challenger, Irena Makarchuk, obtained over the same period.
I bet Joe is busy figuring out a way to traverse the gap as big as the Grand Canyon that exists between him and Irena, who remains in second place with 916 votes, 255 votes behind Anthony, who now has a grand total of 1,171 votes at the top of the Chart.
Since Joe Venice has made so much progress up The Alive with Clive Top 20 Chart so quickly, though, it appears that it's only a matter of time before he begins to mount a challenge to Irena and then Anthony for the # 2, and then the # 1 spot, on the Chart!
Another new contender who is also moving up the Chart fast is Kylie Edmond, who has obtained an additional 47 votes since last Thursday and now has 173 votes.

4. News About Musicians in The Alive with Clive Top 20
Anthony Melillo's song, Kiss Me Sweetly, from his debut album, Just Gettin' Started, is currently receiving air play on Z100.com's Discover New Music Web site. When new songs receive lots of requests there, they make it onto Z100, New York's # 1 Hit Music Station. Let's do what we can to get Anthony's song, Kiss Me Sweetly, onto Z100 by going to his My Space page, www.myspace.com/melillomusicpro, and clicking on the Z100.com banner there to request Kiss Me Sweetly. While you're there, you're bound also to notice another fabulous banner I was delighted to see for reasons that will become obvious when you see it!
Cassandra Kubinski, who -- for those of you who haven't yet noticed -- is one of the three musicians currently featured on The Alive with Clive TV Channel on YouTube, and is at # 4 in The Alive with Clive Top 20, will be performing at Googie's Lounge, 154 Ludlow Street in Manhattan, on Saturday, November 22, at 9.30 p.m. Cassandra's Web site address is www.ckubinski.com, and the link to her My Space page is below.
Lisa Redford's new CD, Clouds with Silver, continues to receive rave reviews from a host of several top music critics. There have been 4-star reviews in this month's Country Music People magazine and the new Nov/Dec Rock 'n' Reel magazine in addition to the wonderful reviews already received. There is also a two-page feature and interview of Lisa in the latest, November 20, issue of Maverick magazine. Fans of Jerry Cherry, who reminds me of Mick Jagger, are in for an exciting night on Tuesday, November 25, at Fontana's, 105 Eldridge Street in Manhattan, at 9 p.m., where they will not only see him perform live, but also watch the world premiere of his video for Freakshow, one of the songs on his debut CD, Life Is Sweeter, which is currently receiving airplay on radio stations across America.
