Unlike Miley Cyrus, Cassandra Kubinski Does Not Have To Pose Semi-Nude To Get Exposure!
It's no secret that if you're a mega star in the making and you want a little extra publicity, the fastest way to accomplish your objective is to show a little too much skin, and then say how sorry you are for your -- ahem -- indiscretion. For evidence, look no further than the publicity circus that was orchestrated around Miley Cyrus recently. But unlike Miley Cyrus, emerging diva extraordinaire, Cassandra Kubinski, does not have to pose without a shirt on her back to get exposure.
With song-writing skills of the caliber that made Billy Joel a legend, Cassandra recently revealed in an interview on the TV show known as Alive with Clive -- Turning Your Passion Into Profit! that she will be exposing her immense musical talent in an upcoming tour of Borders bookstores in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut; at various other venues, including the Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Café (on May 10 at 7 p.m.) and the Metropolitan Room (on May 16 and 17 at 7.30 p.m.) in Manhattan; and at the Speed Street Festival at the NASCAR Coke 600 (on May 23 at 12.30 p.m.), in Charlotte, North Carolina, in the next few weeks.
During her interview she performed two songs, the first called Racecar, from her CD, Hold the Sun, and the second, a new song called Sometime after Midnight, on the Yamaha digital piano generously provided -- courtesy of Yamaha Corporation and the Hartsdale, New York, store of piano merchant, Frank & Camille's -- to the TV studio where Alive with Clive is taped.
Cassandra also mentioned that she is in the movie, Clear Blue Tuesday, which is about the impact of 9/11 on the lives of eleven New Yorkers featured in the film and is scheduled for release in September, 2008, and that two songs she has co-written will be featured in the soon-to-be-released teen/horror comedy, Red Hook.
"Cassandra Kubinski is one of the most promising emerging independent artists I have recently had the pleasure to interview on my TV show," says Clive Swersky, host and producer of Alive with Clive, "and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if her song, Sometime after Midnight, about expressing love for a soul mate in a voice-mail message, shows up in a TV commercial for the Apple I-Phone or for a phone made by one of Apple's competitors."
Cassandra's interview on Alive with Clive is being broadcast on Channel 76 in White Plains on Monday, May 12, at 8.30 p.m., and on Wednesday, May 14, at 7 p.m. It will also soon be available for viewing on www.alivewithclive.tv, the Official Web Site for Alive with Clive -- Turning Your Passion Into Profit!
