For this series of love songs, “Lean Into Me” by Fred Gillen Jr. most definitely belongs right where it is since we all know that relationships go through phases. While the first four songs you’ve seen so far essentially all relate to the initial blissful and harmonious phase of falling in love, “Lean Into Me” is a song about staying in the relationship and getting to the other side of the rocky times after you’ve had one foot in the relationship and the other on it’s way to the exit.
It’s is a very soothing and at the same time reassuring song with several captivating metaphors to encourage the other person in the relationship to be vulnerable, to be willing to trust, to have faith, to deal with the vicissitudes, and to be open to what emerges.
